Pom Kitchen

Plant-based café, Pom Kitchen, is one of the most Instagrammable cafes in Sheffield. With their vibrant, eccentric interior and often a queue out the door, this isn’t a café you don’t want to miss.

Pom opened in 2017 but has since boomed with success, now with three locations serving their inventive matcha and coffee in Selfridges!

Depot Bakery does not mess around, from seasonally inspired drinks to house-cured salmon and salt beef, they mean business. Their coffee also hits the mark every time, using a roast handpicked from Assembly in Brixton.

The faces behind Bench and the much-anticipated Trattoria Maria are Sheffield’s dining duo, Jack Wakelin and Tom Aronica. Their concept with Cafe Bench La Cave is that it’s “bakery by day, wine bar by night” – and always a bottle shop.

Located by South Street Park, it’s in the largest listed building in Europe, an area with an effortlessly cool vibe that’s continued straight into Bench la Cave, where you can find proper coffee and equally as good sourdough.

Kilnfolk Coffee

Kilnfolk coffee serves all their coffee in ceramics made at their studio next door, if that doesn’t shout attention to detail, what does?

Nestled in Sheffield’s Chaucer Yard it’s a calm space perfect for a hot drink or a spot of homeware shopping. You can expect excellent cakes, pottery, coffee and a peaceful artsy vibe.

Located in the Stag Works is one of the best 100% vegan cafés in Sheffield, Lovely Rita’s. They’re known for their vegan pastries, long fermented breads that are all handmade each week.

Their showstopping croissants include chocolate pretzel and key lime pie flavours. Speciality brews, good coffee and incredible pastries are all available to enjoy in their Stag Works courtyard or for collection!

The Sorting Room Marmadukes

Clare and Tim opened Marmaduke’s in 2012, Sheffield’s coffee and breakfast hotspot on Norfolk Row. They’ve expanded to two more venues across Sheffield, one on Cambridge Street and a bakery-come-café on top of Ecclesall Row.

Excellent produce is paramount to Marmaduke’s – so all of their suppliers can be found on their website. Bespoke coffee from Origin coffee roasters, home-made sourdough, baked goods and patisserie can all be enjoyed in their design-led spaces.
