New Late Night Bar and Restaurant Opens in Hull City Centre

A brand new 200-seater bar and restaurant, Iron Lilies, has recently opened at the Princes Quay Shopping Centre in Hull city centre.
The new venue replaces the former Virgin Megastore that had been unoccupied for over a decade.
Iron Lilies in Hull features a botanical theme seen throughout the restaurant’s interior, with centrepieces including water features and green plants.
An outdoor terrace has also been built for the warmer Summer months, with plans discussed to open a mezzanine for live music to take place regularly.

The shopping centre’s owner, Tokyo Industries (Yorkshire) Ltd., is the creative force behind the £2 million makeover.
Hull City Council provided £750,000 government-backed funding for Iron Lilies to Tokyo Industries last Summer.
Over 9,200 square feet of floor space has been transformed to create this new late-night venture, with the project also generating over 20 jobs.
Announcing on social media, Iron Lilies in Hull said “The time has finally come where we show all you beautiful people our amazing restaurant & bar!
So many people have worked so hard to make this vision come true and we cannot wait for every single one of you to see our amazing creation!”
The menu at Iron Lilies includes a selection of small plates and bigger sharing boards, along with a wide selection of cocktails and house-brewed beer.
The venue is set to boost the city’s nighttime economy and add to its reputation as having some of the best foodie spots in East Yorkshire.
You can choose from a range of menus including a Nibbles menu featuring Basil Hummus and Artisan Boards to their vast cocktail menu starring some reimagined classics.
Speaking on the new opening, the leader of Hull City Council Cllr Mike Ross said “It’s wonderful to have Iron Lilies now open and to see such a large space reinvented and brought back to life.
This shows that Hull is a city that is worth investing in and I hope that people can come and enjoy it.”
