The Grand York Cookery School, located within York’s 5-Star Hotel, offers a tempting selection of 43 classes catering to all kinds of abilities, tastes and ages. The classes are led by Cookery School Director, Marc Williams.

Whether you are eager to perfect a warming Thai curry, or like to pretend you’re under the watchful eye of Mary Berry in the bake-off tent, there are plenty of classes to choose from. It’s a great gift for couples, foodie enthusiasts, or just a treat for yourself.

From ‘Curry Night’ to ‘Modern World Street Food’ and ‘Artisan Bread Making’, they offer variety of half-day, full-day, express, and even child-friendly cookery classes to get stuck into to suit everyone’s interests.

Up next is a firm favourite of ours, a full-day Italian masterclass in The Grand’s cookery school. Learn to make and shape pasta from scratch, cook a fragrant saffron risotto and layer up a creamy tiramisu.
