Tapasya Hull Restaurants Celebrate Double National Hospitality Nominations

Tapasya Hull Marina and Tapasya Hull Beverley Road celebrate double national hospitality nominations
Tapasya is a restaurant and private catering brand based in Hull serving unique fine dining Indian food in ornate surroundings. The food is sourced from local Yorkshire suppliers and is based upon seasonal produce.

Each year, the Craft Guild of Chefs invite nominations for remarkable chefs throughout the country, to be honoured in a wide range of categories. This year, Tapasya@Marina are delighted that their Head Chef, Saurav Nath, has been nominated as a finalist for the Ethnic Chef Awards.
Nominees must be primarily responsible for producing dishes, inspired by cuisines and cultures from beyond the British Isles. They must have a strong track record of quality, innovative food with good peer feedback from chefs specialising in similar styles of cuisine.
Saurav has demonstrated his flair for fusing local Yorkshire produce with traditional, Indian flavours and cooking methods. He has worked in trailblazing Indian kitchens in the past, such as Gymkhana and Benares (the latter under the guidance of highly regarded chef, Atul Kochher).
Saurav’s experience has inspired him to create exciting and unique dishes in his role as Head Chef at Tapasya@Marina. His food has provided Hull with a new dining hotspot, in time for its status as 2017’s City of Culture. Winners will be announced in a glittering ceremony on the evening on June 1st at Westminster Park Plaza, London. Find out more about Saurav Nath.
                   
Hull’s Indian fine dining restaurant, Tapasya on Beverley High Road, has had the honour of being nominated for the Tiffin Cup 2017. Restaurants are nominated this honour when a Member of Parliament nominates the restaurant they think offers the best South Asian cuisine in their constituency. This year, Tapasya has been nominated by Diana Johnson MP.
                   
The next stage of the process will be the Regional Final. If chosen as the best restaurant in their part of the country, Tapasya will join the other finalists for a special cook-in at Bellamy’s, London. The winner of the Tiffin Cup will then be presented by the Speaker of the House of Commons. This year all proceeds from the competition will be donated to international children’s’ charity, World Vision.
